Dr Shanil Shah

Meet Shanil
Shanil is a friendly and passionate dentist and co-owner of the practice who strongly believes in the merits of continual education in order to provide treatment of the highest quality in line with current best practice. He has been widely praised by his patients for his caring and gentle chair-side manner, especially those who are somewhat apprehensive of visiting the dentist.
Training and Further Education
- After graduating from the University of Manchester, Shanil enhanced his surgical training with Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery positions across numerous London hospitals. Shanil was subsequently granted full membership with the Joint Dental Faculties at the Royal College of Surgeons in 2011.
- He rapidly progressed to achieve further qualifications and training which form the basis of his special interests, namely dental cosmetics, the replacement of missing teeth, and management of tooth wear.
- Shanil has participated in numerous advanced continuing education courses where he has been trained by a number of the world’s best clinicians in the art of aesthetics and smile design.
- Shanil graduated with distinction in Prosthodontics (Master of Clinical Dentistry) from Kings College London in 2017. This is one of the highest levels of technical qualifications to be attained as a dentist in general practice. This comprehensive four year programme provides advanced clinical skills and knowledge in all aspects of restorative dentistry.
- Shanil also enjoys using various methods of simple orthodontics to straighten teeth and improve smiles using Invisalign®.
Outside of dentistry
Shanil enjoys keeping fit, travelling and trying different cuisines, as well as following his favourite football team – Liverpool!
Dr Krina Patel

Meet Krina
Krina is a highly skilled and compassionate dentist with a particular expertise in implant dentistry and minimally invasive dental care. Since co-owning the practice with her husband, Shanil, in 2018, she has focused on creating a calm and relaxed environment for her patients, always listening to their concerns and tailoring treatment plans to suit their unique needs.
Krina understands that many patients may feel anxious about dental procedures. She has a special interest in working with nervous or anxious patients, creating a calm and supportive environment to help ease their concerns. Her patient-focused approach ensures that every step of the process is explained clearly and that patients feel comfortable and confident throughout their treatment journey.
Training and Further Education
- Krina qualified as a dentist from Birmingham University in 2010 and has since gained extensive experience in both general practice and hospital posts. Krina strives to restore both function and aesthetics to her patients’ smiles through precise and reliable procedures.
- Her journey in implant dentistry began in 2014 when she completed her Foundation in Implant Dentistry with the International Team for Implantology (ITI). In the years that followed, she placed implants under full mentorship, gaining invaluable experience and expertise. Krina takes great pride in offering high-quality, custom solutions that meet the individual needs of her patients, ensuring they achieve long-lasting and natural-looking results.
- As an advocate for continuous learning, Krina has pursued advanced training throughout her career. She achieved the Diploma of Membership of the Joint Dental Faculties at the Royal College of Surgeons in 2011. Additionally, she completed in-depth clinical and academic training through the Aspire Dental Academy, further refining her knowledge and techniques in restorative and cosmetic dentistry. This included a Certificate in Advanced Restorative Dentistry in 2016 and a Certificate in Advanced Endodontics in 2017.
- In 2024, Krina continued to refine her skills with a Masterclass in Anterior Composite Restorations, further enhancing her expertise in aesthetic dentistry.

Outside of dentistry, Krina is a dedicated mother of two young girls. She enjoys travelling, staying fit, socialising with friends, and exploring new cuisines as a passionate “foodie.”

Dr Jemma Gewargis is a skilled dental surgeon, medical aesthetics practitioner, and trainer.With years of experience in private practice, Dr Jemma has interests in restorative dentistry, preventative care, teeth whitening, and facial aesthetics, delivering high-quality, patient-centred care. She is committed to providing a comprehensive, bespoke approach, using the latest technology in a comfortable and professional environment.

- Jemma graduated with Honours from King’s College London, ranking in the top 1% of dentists nationally, and has received clinical awards for excellence, including Highly Commended in the BDA John McLean Prize and Best Endodontic Case in the HEE Thames Valley Berkshire Scheme. She has also undertaken further training to provide a high level of care, including completing the Totally Composite course by Monik Vasant to refine her skills in aesthetic and restorative dentistry.
- Trained by leading experts in non-surgical facial aesthetics, Dr Jemma has a keen eye for subtle, natural-looking enhancements. She offers advanced treatments including Botulinum Toxin for wrinkle prevention, dermal fillers for contouring, and skin bio-stimulators to enhance radiance and collagen production. Her meticulous technique and deep understanding of facial anatomy ensure safe, effective, and tailored results.
- Her commitment to clinical excellence is reflected in her Level 7 Fast Track qualification and registration with the Joint Council of Cosmetic Practitioners (JCCP). Recently, she was awarded the status of Fellow in recognition of her contributions to aesthetics and education. Alongside her clinical work, Dr Jemma is a Tutor for the PgDip in Cosmetic & Aesthetic Medicine at the University of South Wales (USW), as well as a trainer at a London-based academy, mentoring medical professionals in advanced aesthetic techniques.

After training in the south-west and gaining valuable experience in private practice, Maia has returned to the Home Counties, where she now provides exceptional care to her patients. With a refined approach to restorative dentistry, Maia is dedicated to restoring both function and aesthetics to her patients’ smiles, helping them regain their confidence with precision and care. Her gentle, patient-focused approach ensures that each treatment is minimally invasive, promoting long-term oral health and comfort.
Maia is deeply committed to the prevention of oral diseases and strives to educate her patients on maintaining their best oral health. Her caring and empathetic nature makes her particularly attentive to the individual needs of every patient.

Maia graduated with honours from Peninsula Dental School, where she developed a passion for restorative dentistry, particularly in the use of composite materials. Originally from Hertfordshire, Maia attended Chesham Grammar School before beginning her dental career. Her interest in dentistry was sparked during her work experience at this very practice, which inspired her to pursue a profession dedicated to enhancing her patients’ smiles.

Meet Rahul
Rahul is a Specialist in Endodontics, also known as Root Canal Treatment. He is committed to making patients feel comfortable and ensures priority of their well-being from first contact through to their aftercare.
Training and Further Education
Rahul graduated from the University of Manchester (BDS) in 2010. During the early stages of his career, Rahul worked in general practice for several years. Whilst in general practice, Rahul developed a keen interest in Endodontics. This led him to undertake specialist training in Endodontics at King’s College London (KCL), which he completed with a distinction.
During his specialist training, Rahul developed an interestin research ( https://www.researchgate.net/profile/Rahul-Bose-4 ) and has published in several renowned international journals. He was privileged to teach both undergraduate and postgraduate endodontic students at KCL.
Rahul has been recognised clinically by the NHS Oxfordshire Trust (Graham Smart Memorial restorative dentistry prize, 2011) and the British Endodontic Society (General Dental Practitioner award, 2018).Rahul is dedicated to providing a comprehensive Endodontic service using the latest techniques and materials. He is experienced in managing cases with complex anatomy, saving failing root treated teeth and treating patients with oro-facial pain. Furthermore, he thoroughly enjoys engaging with patients and the referring dentist to achieve the best possible care and treatment outcome.
Dr Elizabeth Miles

Meet Elizabeth
Passionate about Oral Surgery, Elizabeth is dedicated to making her patients feel at ease and ensuring they are comfortable throughout their procedures. She is available to provide a range of surgical treatments at the practice, including the removal of impacted wisdom teeth.

- Elizabeth graduated with honours from King’s College London in 2014, following her earlier studies where she earned a BSc from the University of Sheffield in 2010. She completed her dental foundation training, gaining valuable experience in primary dental care, before moving on to various roles in hospital dentistry, including time in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Oral Surgery at King’s College Hospital.
- During this time, Elizabeth achieved the prestigious Diploma of Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery (MFDS) from The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, further solidifying her commitment to her profession.
- Currently, Elizabeth is a Specialty Registrar in Oral Surgery at Guy’s Hospital in London, where she continues her specialist training.

Outside of work, Elizabeth is a busy mum to her young daughter, who keeps her active and on the go. Whether it’s walking, visiting cafés, soft play, or swimming, she enjoys spending quality time with family and friends. Elizabeth is also passionate about sports – she played hockey for her university team and has completed a half marathon. Now, she plays for her local hockey club most weekends.Elizabeth enjoys experimenting with new recipes and exploring local restaurants to discover the next culinary delight.

- Effie was born in Kalamata, Greece and graduated from the Dental Schoolof the Aristoteleio University of Thessaloniki, in 1997. Followingthree years in private practice in Athens, she joined the MSc course inPeriodontology at the Eastman Dental Institute, University College London(UCL), which was completed in 2001.
- Subsequently, she was selected forthe MClinDent in Periodontology at the Eastman Dental Institute, UCL,which was a 3-year advanced training programme and the only one in theUK accredited by the European Federation of Periodontology (EFP).
- Following the successful completion of the MClinDent in 2003, she wasawarded the Certificate in Periodontology, by the EFP. Further in hercareer, she went back to the Eastman Dental Institute, UCL and joined theDiploma in Implant Dentistry, which was successfully completed in 2018.

Dr Peter James Beech “Pedro”

Dr Beech is a valued member of the Village Dental Practice team, where he visits once a month to provide expert Dental Implant Care for our patients.
Training and Further Education
- Dr Peter Beech, also known as Pedro, qualified from University College Hospital (UCH) in London and has built a distinguished career with a focus on the surgical and cosmetic aspects of dentistry. Throughout his career, he has owned and operated his own practices in Muscat (Sultanate of Oman) and Melbourne (Australia), gaining extensive international experience.
- With many years of expertise in Implantology, Dr Beech is dedicated to restoring both the function and aesthetics of patients’ smiles. He has earned the prestigious Fellowship of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (FICOI) and holds a Certificate in Comprehensive Implantology in the UK as well as a Diploma in Clinical Implantology from Seville University in Spain.
- Dr Beech primarily works with Biohorizons and Straumann implants, ensuring the highest standard of care in implant restoration. With a career entirely focused on private practice, he brings a wealth of experience to his work.

Elizabeth is a friendly and motivated dental care professional who is committed to providing high-quality dental hygiene care in a compassionate and respectful environment.
Training and Further Education
- Elizabeth Melton graduated from Sheffield University in 2010 with a dual qualification in Dental Hygiene and Therapy. Prior to this, she worked as a Dental Nurse, which provided her with a strong foundation in dental care and patient management. After qualifying, she spent a year in Northamptonshire completing her Vocational Training in Dental Therapy.
- With a particular interest in Special Care Dentistry, Elizabeth spent three years working for the Primary Care Trust in Oxfordshire, where she provided dental services to children and vulnerable adults. She joined the Village Dental Practice 12 years ago and has loved being part of the dedicated dental team ever since.
- Elizabeth ensures she stays up to date with the latest techniques and knowledge by attending various courses and conferences, reflecting her hardworking and committed approach to her profession.
Outside of Dentistry
At home, Elizabeth is married to Jason and is a proud mum to three boys who keep her very busy. When she’s not cheering them on at rugby matches, she enjoys cooking and entertaining family and friends. In recent years, Elizabeth has also taken up running, participating in several 10km races and setting her sights on completing her first half marathon later this year.

Liz joined The Village Dental Practice in 2010 and has been a beloved member of our team ever since.
Training and Further Education
- Liz qualified as an Extended Duty Hygienist (EDH) in 1995, bringing a wealth of experience and a cheerful, bubbly personality to her role.Born and raised in Buckinghamshire, Liz began her career as a dental nurse, qualifying in 1988. She then pursued further education in Dental Hygiene through evening classes for five years, earning her diploma. Liz was fortunate to train at RAF Halton, where she developed her skills and expertise.
- In addition to her work at the Village Dental Practice, Liz currently works across three practices, demonstrating her dedication to her profession. Known for her chatty and friendly demeanour, she easily makes patients feel comfortable and welcome during their visits.
Outside of Dentistry
Outside of work, Liz enjoys spending time with her black Labrador, Stanley, and nurturing her cottage garden. She also enjoys traveling and recreational scuba diving whenever she can.

Kimberley Bonney

Meet Kimberley
As a Dental Hygienist, Kimberley is known for her warm, friendly, and gentle approach to patient care. She is passionate about helping patients manage their gum health and providing preventive advice. Additionally, she is trained in advanced therapies such as Guided Biofilm Therapy and Airflow, both of which provide exceptional comfort, especially for patients with implants.

- Kimberley qualified as a Dental Hygienist from the University of Essex and has a strong connection to the Village Dental Practice, having worked as a locum Dental Nurse here during her studies. She always held the practice in high regard, so when the opportunity to return as a qualified Dental Hygienist arose, she was excited to join the team.
- Her dental career began in 2007 when she became a qualified Dental Nurse, working in various settings including general practice and spending 8 years at Guy’s Hospital in the Oral Surgery department. There, she gained valuable experience in specialist subjects, including theatre work, sedation, and phlebotomy.

In her personal time, Kimberley enjoys snowboarding, walking in the Chilterns, and traveling the world with her husband.

Julie Chandler

Julie has been a dedicated member of our team since 1986, making her our longest-standing staff member. She began working at the practice under the leadership of Celia Ross and continued her journey with Mark Gregory. When Shanil and Krina took over the practice in 2018, Julie remained a loyal and steadfast presence, adapting to the many changes and developments with grace and professionalism.
A lifelong resident of Great Missenden, Julie knows the area and village intimately and is regarded as a pillar of the local community. Her warm, friendly nature ensures that every patient feels welcomed and cared for when they visit.
Outside of work, Julie enjoys early morning walks, is a dedicated member of Slimming World, and values staying fit and active. Her commitment to fitness reflects her positive, energetic approach to life. Julie’s welcoming smile and caring attitude make her an essential part of the practice, and she’ll always greet you with a warm, friendly welcome.
Natalie Eaves

Natalie joined the Village Dental Practice in September 2021 and has thoroughly enjoyed her time with the team. She is extremely happy to be working alongside Julie, bringing her warm and thoughtful approach to patient care. Natalie is known for being thorough, kind, and attentive, ensuring that patients feel comfortable and well cared for during their visits.
Having worked as a dental nurse many years ago, Natalie brings with her valuable experience and a strong understanding of the field. She is passionate about delivering exceptional care and looks forward to providing every patient at the practice with a warm welcome.
Natalie lives locally in Prestwood with her husband and two children. Outside of work, she enjoys socialising with family and friends, walking with her family, and supporting her children at the various clubs they attend.

Inga joined our team in October 2021, bringing with her a wealth of experience in dental nursing. She qualified as a dental nurse in 2013 and has since worked in various settings, including Shanil’s previous practice, where she developed a strong working relationship with him before joining our practice. Inga is currently training to become our Practice Manager and is working towards an ILM Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management. She has also completed a range of auxiliary courses, including Oral Health Education, Impression Taking, Fluoride Application, and Dental Implant Nursing.
Before joining us, Inga served as the Head Nurse at her previous practice in Aylesbury. We are the third practice she has worked at during her 14-year dental career. She has developed a particular interest in nursing for cosmetic fillings and surgical procedures, with a focus on ensuring excellent patient care.
Inga’s role now extends to managing the non-clinical aspects of the practice, with a clear goal of leading the team and ensuring the highest standard of patient care. She is known for her attention to detail, ensuring the practice runs smoothly and that the team remains up to date with their CPD certificates – she is always on hand to encourage and remind the team to stay compliant.
Inga has also con tributed to the practice outside of her clinical duties, having done some gardening work alongside Julie to help create a welcoming and pleasant environment for both the team and patients.
Outside of her professional life, Inga is a mother of three. She enjoys travelling, baking, cooking, and reading, and she loves spending time with her family. She also enjoys gardening and is passionate about creating a warm and welcoming environment for the team and patients alike.
Charlene Crawford

Charlene qualified as a dental nurse in 2014 with a National Diploma in Dental Nursing and joined our practice in November 2021. With a strong passion for various aspects of dentistry, Charlene particularly enjoys cosmetic and restorative treatments. She finds it incredibly rewarding to follow a patient’s journey and witness the before-and-after results, especially when it comes to improving smiles and overall dental health.
Charlene has excellent organisational skills and a deep understanding of the patient journey. She has worked both administratively and alongside all the specialities in the practice, making her an extremely valuable member of the team. Her broad experience enables her to provide a seamless patient experience, helping patients navigate their treatment options and ensuring they receive the highest quality care. This comprehensive background has equipped her with the skills needed to excel as a Treatment Coordinator.
Charlene also brings extensive managerial experience to her role, having previously worked at Herts Urgent Dental Care and South West London Urgent Dental Care, both service providers for the NHS 111 out-of-hours dental emergency service. Her responsibilities included organising rotas and managing a team of 30 dentists and 20 nurses, liaising with patients, clinical directors, and various teams to ensure the delivery of high-standard patient care.
In addition, Charlene has mentored and aided in the training of trainee dental nurses, passing on her knowledge and skills to the next generation of dental professionals. In 2013, she was trained as a dental nurse by a number of experienced professionals, including Shanil, which made her eager to join our team when a role became available.
In her spare time, Charlene is a mum of two and enjoys spending time with her friends and family. She also loves visiting her home country, Ireland, whenever time permits, to reconnect with her much-loved family members.

Simone Pitt

Simone is a dedicated and experienced dental nurse who joined our team in June 2023. She qualified as a dental nurse in 2015 and holds a National Diploma in Dental Nursing. Over the years, Simone has worked in various dental settings, gaining a broad range of experience across different specialities.
Simone has a particular interest in oral surgery and facial aesthetics nursing, and she enjoys being involved in all aspects of dentistry, supporting both patients and the dental team with her expertise and compassionate approach.
Outside of work, Simone is a proud mother and enjoys spending quality time with her son and family. She loves socialising with friends and going on walks, making the most of time outdoors. Simone is known for being a great team player, always bringing a positive attitude and collaborative spirit to the practice.
Shannon Quirke
Trainee Dental Nurse & Receptionist
Shannon joined the Village Dental Practice team in July 2024, bringing with her a passion for making people feel welcome and comfortable. With a background in hairdressing, Shannon has developed excellent people skills, which she now uses in her role as a trainee dental nurse. She is dedicated to providing the highest level of patient care and is eager to expand her career within the dental field.
In addition to her nursing duties, Shannon also works on reception from time to time, further showcasing her versatility and commitment to the practice. Her friendly and approachable nature makes her a valued team member both in the treatment room and at the front desk.
Outside of work, Shannon enjoys good food, great music, and spending quality time with her loved ones. She is excited about the opportunities ahead and looks forward to growing within the dental world.

Bethan Kemble-Beauchamp
Trainee Dental Nurse
Bethan is our enthusiastic and dedicated Trainee Dental Nurse. With a strong commitment to learning, she’s excited to embark on her journey in the dental field. While new to the role, Bethan brings a range of valuable attributes that will help her thrive as a dental nurse, including her quick learning ability and passion for what she does.
Before joining our team, Bethan earned a diploma in Dance and Musical Theatre. She has travelled across the country for dance competitions and even had the honour of dancing for England last year.
